Welcome to Sligo Foto Breaks
Out on the wild and rugged West Coast of Ireland,
an exciting new venture begins in Sligo, 5th May Bank
Holiday.
‘sligo foto breaks’ is a Tuition Course for Photographers run by Peter Wilcock from his base in Sligo. Award Winning Photographer Peter, has been a professional photographer all his working life, including a 30 year stint as a staff photographer on the Daily Mail, Express and Star in Manchester. Now living and working in Sligo where he has been resident for 5 years, Peter has an extensive local knowledge and love of the area. Direct low cost flights from Manchester to Sligo with Aer Arann make this a short hop away and the top class self catering accommodation at nearby Primrose Grange House is an ideal base to start off on your Photographic Safari of WB Yeats country. |
One of Sligo's greatest asset is her beautifully
clean sea and fabulous coastline. The area is famous
for fossils - the carboniferous limestone rocks along
the coast contain spectacular coral reefs. Explore some
of the shingle beaches and you will be amazed, although
with stopping to look at fascinating stones and
dabbling in rock pools, don't expect to make very
speedy progress!
You will never run out of things to do in County Sligo - you are more likely to run out of time first! Sligo is rich in landscape, heritage, history and culture and if you are interested in any of these fields, you will be well rewarded. Naturally your 'foto break' will take full advantage of Sligo's breathtaking scenery and Peter's guidance will enhance all aspects of your time in Ireland. |
